About Us

Rock City International was created with the philosophy of giving the local Trinidad Rock Bands an outlet to exhibit their talents as well as create a coherent rock and roll scene in Trinidad & Tobago.

Our Mission: To Provide easy and continuous, quality Rock & Roll Entertainment by live Rock & Roll Bands and Individuals in Trinidad & Tobago. To promote shows whether by our company or any other promoter and to give local Rock Bands the recognition they deserve!

Rock City International is here to serve all of your Rock & Roll needs. Over the years Rock & Roll as well as Rock & Roll Bands have taken a back seat to Soca, Reggae and other genres of music in Trinidad & Tobago. This is something that Rock City International hopes to change with the co-operation of Rock & Roll fans as well as Bands and promoters so that Rock & Roll in Trinidad can become mainstream as is any other music genre in Trinidad & Tobago.

We believe everyone (whether band member of fan alike) deserves the opportunity to experience the music they appreciate and love. We are here to serve your needs, and make your Rock & Roll experience one you will always remember.

Our History

Rock-and-Roll (räk'n roll') n. first so used (1951) by Alan Freed, Cleveland disc jockey, taken from the song "My Baby Rocks Me with a Steady Roll". The use of rock, roll, rock and roll, etc., with reference to sexual intercourse, is traditional in blues, a form of popular music that evolved in the 1950's from rhythm and blues, characterized by the use of electric guitars, a strong rhythm with an accent on the offbeat, and youth-oriented lyrics.
